  • Data solutions architect for Tesco.com OLTP UK platform.

  • Provided solution architecture for the ‘Usuals’ functionality and an adaptive Product Sales Ranking scoring method for improved search result ordering.

  • Integrated Legacy and Greenfield customer datasets by architecting a custom framework for on-demand synchronisation of customer data to enable both systems to run in parallel with minimum performance impact, but guaranteed data consistency for the customer.

  • Responsible for the specification, build and virtualisation of test lab environments for multiple international platform releases.

  • Responsible for management and administration of over 40 SQL Servers across multiple physical and virtual environments.

  • Developed a release of the Tesco.com mobile REST API using C#, ADO.Net, JSON and SOAP.

  • Prototyped a new Grocery API using MongoDB and node.js, to significantly improve product data and taxonomical navigation performance.

  • Senior SQL Server DBA for over 20 servers.

  • Responsible for Intranet application and database development in SQL Server HTML and ASP for the UK.

  • Development and management of Hanson UK Intranet System.

  • Project management and full lifecycle development of national ASP/SQL Server/OLAP complaints application.

  • Replaced seven regional legacy Access 95 databases with a single Access 2000/SQL Server application using two-way merge replication to provide fail-over redundancy, improve performance and centralise reporting.

  • Responsible for deployment, security and administration of a national JDE EnterpriseOne ERP system on AS/400, DB2 and WebSphere.

  • Development of MS Access database application for the Y2K systems compliance of the UK Atomic Energy Authority, involving complete lifecycle from user specification to delivery, reports and training. 

  • Management of the Y2K compliance ASP website and SQL Server database for the UK national water industry. 

  • Full lifecycle development of SQL Server 7/VB6 scheduling and bookings management system for the EU government.
